A former collegiate athlete with a history of Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP) sees his family cardiologist with the expectation that the appropriate care and testing will be taken for his treatment.

After presenting symptoms of MVP, the cardiologist failed to properly diagnose the problem resulting in his death at 39 years old.

Our medical animation and illustrations describe normal heart function, abnormal heart function and abnormal electrical signals to the heart (ventricular tachycardia). As well as a surgical illustration expressing the surgery that would have saved his life.
